THE GUIDED PRACTICE
Reconnecting with nature
Forest therapy/forest bathing is the translation of the Japanese word Shinrin Yoku, which is where this practice originated.
It is more than a walk in the woods. It is a guided evidence-based practice that invites you to slow down and engage your senses with the natural world. It is a chance to slow down from the stresses of modern living.
My guided sessions provide a structure to facilitate this. Forest therapy has many health benefits. It is known to reduce stress. It lowers cortisol levels and promotes relaxation.
It activates the parasympathetic nervous system which calms the body to a healthy state.
